1. INTRODUCTION

CAR CONNECT TAG is designed to facilitate communication between a person who needs to contact a vehicle owner and the vehicle owner associated with the Tag. We aim to process personal data only for lawful and specified purposes and to use appropriate safeguards.

2. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DATA?

For the Services, the relevant entity responsible for processing personal data is VYOM TECH INDIA, Cabin No. 50, LGF, Plot No. 8, Sankalp Tower, Near Queens Road, Khatipura Road, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan – 302021, India. For applicable Indian data-protection purposes, the Company will act as the relevant Data Fiduciary for personal data for which it determines the purposes and means of processing.

3. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?

Depending on use, we may collect customer information such as name, mobile number, email, billing/shipping address, city/state/PIN, payment-related transaction information, order and invoice information and customer-support communications. Vehicle-related information may include registration number, make/model, vehicle identification information supplied by you, Tag ID, activation information and Tag status.

4. COMMUNICATION INFORMATION

When a person uses the communication facility associated with a CAR CONNECT TAG, technical information associated with that interaction may be processed. Depending on the communication method, this may include calling number, receiving number, communication date/time, communication status, message-related information where technically processed, WhatsApp-related information where applicable and technical identifiers associated with the interaction.

5. QR SCAN INFORMATION

When someone scans a CAR CONNECT TAG QR code, the system may process information necessary to operate the Service, including Tag ID, scan date/time, IP address, browser, device, operating system, approximate technical location derived from IP where available, referral/source information and interaction logs. A QR scan does not automatically mean that the scanner receives the vehicle owner's personal mobile number.

6. WHY DO WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION?

We may process personal data to fulfil orders, deliver products, generate invoices, process payments, activate Tags, associate Tags with users/vehicles, facilitate communication, provide customer support, investigate fraud or misuse, protect systems, comply with law, maintain records and improve service performance using aggregated or appropriately de-identified information.

7. COMMUNICATION PRIVACY

One of the key purposes of CAR CONNECT TAG is to allow a person to contact a vehicle owner without necessarily displaying the owner's personal number on the physical Tag. Where the applicable technology supports masked calling or similar functionality, the actual routing may involve authorised telecommunications or technology providers. The Company cannot control information voluntarily disclosed by users during subsequent conversations.

8. DOES THE SCANNER GET THE OWNER'S MOBILE NUMBER?

Normally, the physical CAR CONNECT TAG does not display the vehicle owner's mobile number. Where a privacy-preserving communication mechanism is available, the Service may facilitate communication without directly displaying the owner's number to the scanner. If the owner voluntarily shares their number or other information during a subsequent conversation, that information may become available to the other person.

9. INFORMATION FROM THIRD PARTIES

We may receive information from authorised payment gateways, shipping/logistics providers, telecommunications providers, SMS providers, WhatsApp or other communication providers, cloud/hosting providers, analytics providers and customer-support technology providers. The information received depends on the service used.

10. PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways. Where payment processing is performed by a payment provider, complete card details may be handled directly by that provider rather than stored by VYOM TECH INDIA. We may receive transaction ID, payment status, amount, date/time, payment method type and limited payment-related identifiers.

11. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, session management, security, analytics, performance, preferences, user experience and marketing where applicable and lawfully implemented. You may be able to control cookies through browser settings. Essential cookies may be necessary for website functionality.

12. ANALYTICS

We may use analytics tools to understand website performance and user interaction, including pages visited, approximate location, device type, browser, referral source, session duration and interaction patterns. Where practical, aggregated or de-identified information may be used for analytics.

13. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Where permitted and where appropriate consent is required, we may send product updates, service notifications, offers, promotions, educational information and Company announcements. You may withdraw consent for promotional communications through the mechanism provided or by contacting us. Service-related communications may continue where necessary to provide a requested service or where otherwise permitted by law.

14. DATA SHARING

We do not sell your personal data as a standalone commercial product. We may share personal data with authorised service providers where necessary to operate CAR CONNECT TAG, including technology, communication, payment, logistics, professional advisory and other service providers. We may disclose information to government or law-enforcement authorities where required by applicable law, lawful order or legal process.

15. RETAIL PARTNERS AND DISTRIBUTORS

CAR CONNECT TAG may be sold through authorised Retail Partners, Distributors or other sales channels. Such partners may receive information reasonably necessary for an authorised transaction or support. They are not permitted to use customer information for unrelated purposes or sell/share it with competitors contrary to applicable agreements, Company policies or law.

16. DATA PROCESSORS

Some third parties may process personal data on behalf of VYOM TECH INDIA, including cloud hosting providers, CRM providers, communication providers, payment processors, logistics platforms and customer-support platforms. Where required, we will use appropriate contractual, organisational and technical measures governing such processing.

17. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for providing Services, transaction records, customer support, legal compliance, tax/accounting requirements, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security and enforcing agreements. When no longer required, we may delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and retention practices.

18. DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse and destruction. Measures may include access controls, authentication, restricted employee access, secure systems, monitoring, backups and contractual controls. No internet-based system can be guaranteed completely secure.

If a personal data breach occurs, the Company will take reasonable steps required under applicable law, including investigation, containment and notification where legally required. Where applicable, affected individuals and relevant authorities may be notified in accordance with legal requirements.

20. YOUR RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law and its effective implementation, you may have rights relating to personal data, including access to information about processing, correction/update of inaccurate information, deletion/erasure where legally applicable, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, grievance redressal and nomination of another individual where permitted by law.

21. WITHDRAWING CONSENT

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent through the mechanism made available by the Company. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal and may affect our ability to continue Services that require the relevant data.

22. ACCESS, CORRECTION OR DELETION REQUESTS

Contact carconnecttag@vyomtechindia.com. Your request should include sufficient information to identify your name, registered mobile/email, Tag ID where applicable and the nature of the request. We may take reasonable steps to verify identity before responding.

23. GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL

For privacy-related complaints, contact VYOM TECH INDIA at carconnecttag@vyomtechindia.com or the postal address stated in this Policy. Complaints will be processed in accordance with applicable law and our internal grievance process.

24. CHILDREN'S DATA

CAR CONNECT TAG is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly seek to collect children's personal data beyond what is necessary for a lawful service or transaction. Where applicable law requires parental/guardian consent or additional safeguards, we will follow those requirements.

25. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING

Some technology or service providers may process data outside India. Where personal data is transferred or processed outside India, the Company will apply applicable legal requirements and safeguards.

26. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for independent third parties' privacy practices. Review the relevant third party's privacy policy before providing personal information.

27. THIRD-PARTY COMMUNICATION SERVICES

If you communicate through WhatsApp, SMS, telephone networks or another third-party service, that service may independently process your information. Such processing is governed by the third party's terms and privacy policy.

28. BUSINESS TRANSFERS

If VYOM TECH INDIA undergoes a merger, restructuring, acquisition, sale of business/assets or similar transaction, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law. A successor entity will be expected to handle personal data in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

29. LEGAL DISCLOSURES

We may disclose personal data where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, court orders, lawful government requests, investigate fraud, protect Company rights, protect users, protect security or enforce contractual terms.

30. DATA ACCURACY

You are responsible for providing accurate information. If your mobile number, email address, vehicle information or other relevant information changes, you should update it through the available mechanism. The Company is not responsible for communication failures caused by incorrect or outdated information supplied by the user.

31. PRIVACY AND VEHICLE OWNERSHIP

Registering a vehicle or Tag does not by itself establish legal ownership of the vehicle. CAR CONNECT TAG is a communication solution and is not a vehicle registration, ownership verification or law-enforcement identification system.

32. SECURITY OF THE PHYSICAL TAG

You should protect the Tag against unauthorised removal, duplication, tampering, modification and misuse. If you believe your Tag has been compromised, contact the Company. The Company may deactivate or replace a compromised Tag where appropriate.

33. DATA RELATING TO SCANNERS

A person scanning a Tag may provide information voluntarily through the communication process. The scanner should not submit unnecessary personal information and is responsible for ensuring that information provided through the Service is accurate and lawful.

34. DATA RELATING TO VEHICLE OWNERS

Vehicle owners should provide only information reasonably necessary for the Service and should not upload or submit another person's personal information without appropriate authority. Vehicle owners are responsible for keeping account and activation information accurate.

35. AGGREGATED INSIGHTS

The Company may use aggregated, statistical or appropriately de-identified information to understand product adoption, usage patterns, system performance, customer experience and operational trends. Such information will not be intentionally used to identify an individual where appropriately de-identified.

36. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be published on the website with an updated Last Updated date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
